Mexican Rice

1 cup rice
1onion,thinly sliced
1 tomato,finely chopped
1 tbsp oil
3 Green chillies
1 Green bell pepper
2 cloves garlic,chopped
Salt for taste
1 chicken cube
1/2 tbsp cumin powder
1/2 grounded pepper
2 cup water or chicekn stock
Chopped coriander leaves
In a cooker,saute rice in oil over medium heat for abt 3 mins.Pour in chicken stock or water and bring to boil.
Stir in onion,green bell pepper, tomato,green chillies.Season with chicken cube,salt,pepper and cumin powder.Then add chopped garlic and coriander leaves.Bring to boil and reduce heat to low and cook for 20 min or wait for 3 whistles.
Serve hot with egg or chicken Curry...


  1. Tried this one also...really a diferent dish which evry1 needs to try too. Ragu njoyed the food a lot. Add up more rice varieties n also give suggestion of side dishes.
