Onion Jeera Rice

Sometimes its boring to cook for the two of us at home - alone...happened today!! My husband was not able to make it for lunch and i felt boring to cook for us alone...checked out my fridge to munch something and found little cooked leftover rice...so prepared this for my lunch and had with potato chips and raita...

Ingredients :

1 Cup cooked rice
1/2 tbsp jeera
1 Onion, Finely chopped
2 Dry red chillies
2 Tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Pudina/Mint for garnishing

Method:

Heat oil in kadai and add jeera followed by red chillies and onion.
Fry them for few mins or until onion becomes translucent.
Add salt and cooked rice, mix well and simmer for 2 mins.
Garnish with mint leaves and serve hot with onion raita and pickle.
