Broccoli & Mango Chutney / Chutney Recipe - 57 / #100chutneys


Broccoli & Mango chutney is a tangy, spicy and delicious chutney prepared using raw mango, broccoli and coconut. Broccoli pieces are sautéed in an oil along with ginger and chillies are further made into fine paste by adding fresh coconut and raw mango. This chutney should be served immediately as fresh coconut is added or alternatively, saute the coconut pieces along with the veggie  to keep it for long time. This chutney goes well with Dosa and Curd rice. Adjust the quantity of chilli according to taste bud. 

Ingredients :

2 Tsp Oil 
1/2 Cup Broccoli, finely chopped 
3 - 4 Green chillies ( Adjust according to taste bud ) 
1/4 Tsp Ginger, grated 
1/4 Cup Coconut, grated
2 - 3 Tbsp Raw Mango, finely chopped ( Without skin ) 
Salt to taste 

Tadka / Thalimpu - Optional

Method :

Heat oil in a pan and add green chillies followed by ginger and broccoli.

Saute it for a minute and cook until the broccoli gets cooked. ( Add little water if necessary ).

Once done, cool the ingredients and add it to a blender along with coconut and mango.

Add the required quantity of salt and water to the blender and grind into fine paste.

Transfer it to a bowl and serve.


Serving Options :

Serve with Dosa and Curd rice.
